All - Relays

The boys had their first meet on Friday night and overall it was a success.  Kickapoo won 4 of the relays - 400 Medley (G-Bo, AJ, Dan, T-Strong), 200 Back (Yutes, Matt Mc, Celo & Taylor), 200 Breast (Yutes, AJ, Andrew Smith, Ups) and the 200 Medley (G-Bo, Ups, Dan, Whitey).  Overall, I saw some great things out of the guys and then of course a bunch of things to work on. I saw some good things out of our freshman - Nick Stone impressed with his speed.  Garrett made the first State cut of the year in the 100 back (leading off the 400 Medley Relay).  Scott Brand looked good on the board.  He was much more fluid than last year - I think we will get some big support from him in diving.  I think we have a very deep group of guys overall compared to most of the other teams.  I think that will be a huge advantage for us when it comes to dual meets.  We have a long way to go but this is a good start.

On Thursday we travel to Webb City for our first official meet.  The boys will have some options in what they swim.  All of the boys will swim 2 individual events and at least 1 relay.  The meet begins at 4:30 in Webb City.  Be there if you can.
