First Win of the Season

The boys got their first win of the season against Hillcrest 135 - 48.  Kickapoo won all 3 relays and qualified for State in the 200 Medley.  That team was Garrett Estebo, Andrew Smith, Daniel Senn and Mason White.  Kickapoo also won the 200 Free (Noah Scott), 200 IM (Andrew Smith), 100 Fly (Daniel Senn), 100 Free (Garrett Estebo), 500 Free (Andrew Workman), 100 Back (Taylor Strong) and the 100 Breast (Trey Upton). 

The boys swam pretty good and we are seeing some good things out of them even though they are swimming very tired right now.  We will continue to work through the meets and keep our focus on our big meets at the end of the year. 

As we talked to the boys last night after the meet, we talked about consistent hard work.  Some of the boys do a great job with this, but overall I think it is something we have to improve on as a team. Encourage your son to put out a strong effort every time they go to practice.  The more we push ourselves, the better we will be in the end.
