The Coaches
Jason Hite
Jason is entering his 9th year as head coach of the Kickapoo Boys Swimming & Diving Team and is coming off another successful season where the team finished 8th at the state meet and Ryan McFall won the 100 butterfly in school record time. Jason swam in high school for Lee’s Summit, where he finished 3rd place in the 500 free & 5th place in the 200 IM at state his senior year(’93). Jason went on to swim at Drury University where he was a team captain & earned Academic All-American honors as a senior (’97). Jason continued at Drury as a graduate assistant coach for the men’s & women’s teams. Jason has also coached for Parkview, Greenwood, Ozark, Marshfield & Nixa high schools. Jason and his wife Heidi have three boys - Ethan (8), Harrison (7) and Max (4) enjoys being with his family, friends and working out when he gets a chance. Jason teaches 1st grade at Phelps Center for Gifted and works at Millwood Golf & Racquet Club in the summer.
Pete Hill
This is Pete’s 5th year with the boys team. He also coaches the Nixa Girls team. Pete began his swimming career at the age of 9 with a small club team in his hometown of Cedarburg Wisconsin. He then moved on to a large YMCA team at the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center in Brown Deer Wisconsin. While a part of this team he represented the Team at both Jr. Nationals and YMCA Nationals. He also swam for his High School Team where he was the only individual State Qualifier, member of 2 relays and Team Captain. He was All-State in the breaststroke. After high school he was recruited by and swam for Drury, qualifying for nationals in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. After College, he moved to Kansas City and began coaching with the Northland United swim club where he coached for 5 years. Coach Hill was able to grow the team from approximately 90 swimmers to over 170. Coach Hill also assisted in coaching Old Pike Country Club in summer league. Pete returned to Springfield in 2005 to be closer to family. Pete has completed two Iron Man triathlons and continues to enjoy swimming and tries to swim 1 to 2 days per week. He has three children, Austin (Nixa Graduate and 4 year swimmer), (Freshman Nova Southeastern University, Florida), Paige (sophomore Nixa Girls Team) and Jordan. All three of them enjoy swimming and swim for Nixa.
Jackie Boismenue
Jackie is volunteering her time to coach for both the boys and girls teams again this year. She graduated from Missouri State University in May with her Secondary English Education. She is from St. Louis where she began her swimming career. She swam for Hazelwood West High School, Hazelwood Elite Aquatics Team (HEAT), and Hazelwood Sharks summer league team. Since graduating in 2007 she has coached the Barracudas Swim Team at the Downtown YMCA and the Twin Oaks Country Club Sharks. She has also taught swim lessons for 8+ years to various age groups for the City of Hazelwood, HEAT, the YMCA and locally here in Springfield.. Jackie teaches English at Parkview High School.
