Well, we won the diving and the last relay, but the meet wasn’t very close this year.  We knew this going in, so we decided to keep our focus on other things other than the final score.  The word for the night was opportunity.  I challenged the girls to take advantage of every opportunity they had in the meet - personally and as a team. I think overall we did that.  In the relays, we went best times in all 3 relays and I feel like there is a lot of hope in making the State cuts in the 200 free & 400 free relays.  We are less than 2 seconds from the 200 free relay and 3 seconds from the 400 free relay.  We are also within a second of breaking our school record in the 200 medley relay with our combined best splits.  Individually there were some great performances too.  On the boards, Shalom had her best overall performance of the year and looked outstanding.  Kylie, Peli and Rae are also making some great improvements.  Ashlyn had 2 best times on the night - 200 IM & 100 Fly.  Boo broke 1:00 in the 100 free for the first time.  Hayleigh, Emily, MK, MC, Jette and Shelby all had at least 1 best relay split or individual best time.  Overall, we were very happy with how the girls did - things continue to move in the right direction.
